Itinerary: 3-Day Journey: From the Medina to the Golden Dunes

Day 1: Marrakech – High Atlas – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate

Early departure from Marrakech crossing the Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2,260m).

  • Ait Ben Haddou: Visit the ancient mud city (UNESCO), famous as the backdrop for major Hollywood productions like Gladiator.

  • Ouarzazate: Pass through the "Gateway to the Desert" before continuing along the Route of a Thousand Kasbahs.

  • Accommodation: Charming hotel in the Dades Valley. We push forward today so your second day is more relaxed.

  • Includes: Private transport, guide in Ait Ben Haddou, dinner, and accommodation.

 

DAY 2 — Valley of the Roses → Todra Gorges → Merzouga

After breakfast, we head to the breathtaking Todra Gorges, with 300-meter-high rock walls over a crystal-clear river.

  • Heading to the Dunes: Arrival in Merzouga in the afternoon.

  • Sahara Experience: Camel trek through the Erg Chebbi dunes to witness the sunset.

  • Night at the Camp: Traditional Berber dinner and overnight stay in a private tent under the starry sky.

DAY 3 — Desert Immersion: Erg Chebbi → Khamlia → Nomads

Today, the magic begins. A day dedicated to experiencing the Sahara without the rush.

  • Local Life: Meet nomad families to understand their way of life in the desert.

  • Accommodation: Hotel at the foot of the dunes for extra comfort after your night at the camp.

DAY 4 — The Caravan Route: Merzouga → N’Kob → Draa Valley → Ouarzazate

We begin the return journey via an exclusive route, crossing cinematic landscapes that few tourists ever get to see.

  • N’Kob: Stop at the Berber village known for its 45 well-preserved adobe Kasbahs.

  • Draa Valley: Travel through the longest palm grove in Morocco, filled with oases and ancient fortresses.

  • Accommodation: High-quality Riad or hotel in Ouarzazate.

  • Includes: Breakfast, Anti-Atlas & Draa Valley route, and accommodation.

DAY 5 — History of the Kasbahs → Marrakech

  • On the final day, we visit the Kasbah Taourirt in Ouarzazate before crossing the Atlas Mountains once again.

  • Return: Strategic stops at different viewpoints than those visited on day one for final photographs.

  • Arrival: Final transfer to your hotel or the airport in Marrakech in the afternoon.

  • Includes: Breakfast and return transport.
