4 Days: Route of the Kasbahs
Private tour from Marrakech to the Sahara Desert and the Kasbahs
Live the magic of the Sahara on an intimate adventure from Marrakech. In just four days, you'll discover the Atlas peaks, adobe kasbahs, endless gorges, and the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi. Walk on waves of sand at sunset, spend the night in a Berber camp under a sky that looks like a sea of stars, and wake to an unforgettable dawn. Our tour is private (or small groups if you prefer), with a professional local driver, characterful accommodations, and an authentic experience: gastronomy, Berber culture, and landscapes that will forever change your idea of Morocco.
Itinerary: From the Medina to the Dunes (3 Days)
Day 1 — Marrakech → Tizi n’Tichka Pass → Ait Ben Haddou → Ouarzazate → Dades Valley
Early departure from Marrakech (hotel pickup). We cross the High Atlas via Tizi n’Tichka Pass (approx. 2–3 hours), with photo stops at viewpoints and Berber villages. We visit the famous Ait Ben Haddou kasbah (UNESCO World Heritage site), with time to explore it and have lunch. We continue to Ouarzazate, exterior visit to the studio/village and a brief stop in Taourirt if applicable. In the afternoon, we head to the spectacular Dades Valley: views of the gorges, kasbahs, and adobe villages. Dinner and accommodation in a hotel (half board).

Day 2 — Dades Valley → Todra Gorges → Rissani → Merzouga (Erg Chebbi)

Arrival at midday, accommodation in a hotel/riad on the outskirts or light lodging before the desert experience. In the afternoon: camel trek to the camp in the Erg Chebbi dunes to watch the sunset. Traditional Berber dinner in the camp and overnight in haimas (camp) or “glamping” option according to the chosen package.
Includes: breakfast, lunch (depending on package), dinner in camp, camel trek, overnight in camp.
Day 3 — Merzouga: sunrise in the dunes → activities in the area
Wake up to see the sunrise in the dunes (stunning photography). After breakfast, option for sandboarding, 4x4 dune excursion, and visit to Khamlia village (Gnawa music), or excursion to the oases and Mifis mines and surroundings (Rissani or inner dunes). Free afternoon to explore the ksar and local market or relax. Second night in hotel/riad or camp as contracted.
Includes: breakfast, activities (camel/4x4) according to selection, dinner if overnight in camp.
Day 4 — Merzouga → Erfoud → Ouarzazate or direct route back → Marrakech (return)
After breakfast, begin the return to Marrakech. Usual route via Erfoud (stop for fossils if interested) and Ouarzazate / Dades Valley (depending on chosen route). Cross Tizi n’Tichka Pass again. Arrival in Marrakech in the afternoon/evening (approximate schedule: full day — allow 10–12 hours if direct return with stops). End of service after drop-off at your riad or hotel in Marrakech.
